Eat Plant Based.com – Review
Eat Plant-Based dot com is a website owned and run by Terri Edwards.
During 2012, Terri was experiencing poor health, including inflamed joints, high cholesterol, and extra weight, to name a few.
After being encouraged to watch the popular documentary, Forks Over Knives in 2013, Terri and her husband adopted a whole foods plant-based diet and she experienced a reversal of all of her conditions.
She began this website as a blog to share recipes and personal experiences.
The Eat Plant-Based website is, like the Forks Over Knives website, full of information for vegans new and old, detailing the whole foods, plant-based lifestyle.
The landing page of the Eat Plant-Based website provides links to a helpful plant-based starter kit, as well as recipes, links to Terri’s most popular blog posts, and information on classes and workshops.
Terri also includes a very personal section on the medical doctors she looks up to most in her “wall of plant-based fame,” which boasts vegans who are some of the most educated and well versed in plant-based diets and the health benefits.
In her plant-based starter kit, those new to the plant-based or vegan lifestyle (as well as more seasoned vegans) can purchase a plan including one popular plant-based book, a DVD-set with lectures, a 31 page booklet on Healthy Basics, a 19 page booklet on Healthy Eating for Life/Food Choices for Cancer, a 19 page Vegetarian Starter kit, 4 pages of Diabetes and Diet Recipes for Success, a 25 page Nutrition for Kids booklet, as well as 4 weekly newsletters.
This starter kit is wonderful as a starting point for those new to plant-based diets, as well as for vegans who seek to add to their knowledge base.
In the scientific research section of her website, Terri points her readers in the direction of some very knowledgeable medical doctors and links to research backing the fact that whole food, plant-based diets can prevent and reverse many chronic conditions.
Finally, and most importantly, Terri’s recipe section is quite comprehensive from appetizers to dessert, and even includes sections with gluten free recipes as well as thirty-minute meals.
Eat Plant-Based dot com is a comprehensive personal blog turned vegan/plant-based resource that can assist new vegans or those new to plant-based diets in the transition, or simply add to their knowledge base.
